William E. Sheppard

William Edward Sheppard, 66, Waterfall Road, Hustontown, died at 2:55 a.m., Friday, April 19, 2019, at Manor Care, Chambersburg.

Born July 31, 1952, in Maryland, he was the son of Edward N. and Irene Belle Sheppard.

He was married to Joan (Long) Snyder on April 5, 2002. She preceded him in death December 4, 2008.

He is survived by a son, William Sheppard, and three stepchildren: Barry Snyder and wife Laura, Shade Gap; Mark Snyder and wife Donna, Hustontown; and Vonetta Fogal, Hustontown; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

He was of the Pentecostal faith.

He was last employed at New Enterprise Stone and Lime Co. as a truck driver. In earlier years he worked at Valley Quarries, Chambersburg, and with Everhart and Hoover, Hustontown.

A family gathering is planned for a later date.
