Wade B. Patterson

Wade B. Patterson, 54, of Fort Littleton Road, Orbisonia, PA died Sunday, October 31, 2021 at WellSpan Chambersburg Hospital, Chambersburg, PA with his family by his side.

Born on September 15, 1967 in McConnellsburg, PA, he was the son of the late James B. Patterson and is survived by Charlotte (Stains) Hodge and John S. Hodge of Orbisonia, PA.

He is also survived by his wife of 30 years, Dorothy (Seville) Patterson, son Eric Patterson and wife Cristina, Cassville, PA and daughter Delaney Gilliland and husband Daniel II, Hustontown, PA.

He was preceded in death by son Nathaniel with whom he has now been reunited!

Also surviving are grandchildren Anniston and Ander Patterson, Shirleysburg, PA, Bailee and expected Baby Gilliland, Hustontown, PA.

Three brothers, James Patterson and wife Veronica, Springville, AL, Curt Patterson and wife Amy, Orbisonia, PA and Darryl Patterson and wife Katie, Blair Mills, PA also survive.

Mr. Patterson was a member of the Dublin Mills Community Church where he served as a deacon, Sunday School teacher, youth leader and special music presenter during his time on Earth.

He was employed with Susquehanna Construction Company of New Cumberland, PA for 24 ½ years as a carpenter, laborer and temporary foreman.  He absolutely loved his profession.

Mr. Patterson served for 8 years in the United States Army National Guard.

During his lifetime, he loved to hunt, go deep sea fishing, going to the Outer Banks with his family, travel with Dorothy and most importantly, spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, November 4, 2021 at the Dublin Mills Community Church, 2700 Dublin Mills Road, Hustontown, PA with Pastor Ben Holler officiating.  Interment will be at the church cemetery.  Friends may call at the church from 6 - 8:00 PM on Wednesday and one hour prior to the service on Thursday.
