Teresa Fraker Obituary

Teresa Denise Fraker, 58, Harrisburg, passed away on Monday, March 22, 2021 at Georgetown University Hospital, Washington, DC, after a tough battle with a rare and aggressive cancer.

Teresa was born on September 11, 1962, in Reading, the oldest daughter of Alvin and Sydney (Painting) Snyder. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Business/Data Processing and Master’s degree in Business Administration from Shippensburg University, marrying her college sweetheart, John, on May 10, 1986. She was a dedicated Manager in Customer Service at PHEAA.

Teresa is survived by her husband, John H. Fraker; a son, J. Hunter Fraker of Washington, DC; a daughter, Jordan N. Fraker of Baltimore, MD; her father Alvin and mother Sydney Snyder of Womelsdorf; two brothers: Vincent L. Snyder and wife Lori, Lenhartsville, and Keith A. Snyder and wife Jennifer, Eastchester, NY; one sister, Dawn R. Snyder and husband Alan, Sinking Spring; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Teresa was a devoted mother and wife who prioritized spending time with family over everything else. You could find her cheering on the sidelines at every one of her children’s sporting events—regardless of the weather. She knew her family better than they knew themselves and had an extraordinary talent for finding the perfect gift to resolve their smallest problems. Her passion for helping others was inspiring and she was always excited to share all of the fun facts that she read.  Above all, she was known for her empathy, active listening, and genuine love for life.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
