Stephen G. Grissinger

Stephen G. Grissinger, 74, of Dublin Mills, PA, went to be with the Lord on February 16, 2025 at his home.

Born on May 15, 1950 in Huntingdon, PA, he was the son of the late Elden and Mary (Hess) Grissinger.  He was united in marriage to Evelyn Besaw on June 16, 1973.  Mrs. Grissinger survives at home.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by daughter Nicole Gann and husband Steve, son Richard Grissinger and wife Kelli, son Timothy Grissinger, grandchildren Bennett Gann, Leah Gann, Trinity Grissinger and Parker Grissinger, sisters Karen Long and husband Denny and Amy Patterson and husband Curt and several nieces, nephews and great nieces and great nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brother Mark Grissinger.

Mr. Grissinger was a longtime member of the Forbes Road Lions Club, where he served as president and zone chairman and received the prestigious Melvin Jones Fellowship award for the humanitarian work of the Lions Club International Foundation.

He was also member of Cromwell Lodge #572, Free and Accepted Masons, Orbisonia, PA and a past member of the former Mason-Dixon Safari Club.  He also served on the Forbes Road Alumni Association with the selection of scholarship recipients.

During his lifetime, he was a sheet metal master with Sheet Metal Workers Local 19 and later a state safety inspector for the state of Pennsylvania. During his time as a state safety inspector, he received a commendation from the Governor of Pennsylvania for his work at the Visitor’s Center on I-81 at Greencastle, PA.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time outdoors with his family and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, February 22, 2025 at the Dublin Mills Community Church, 2700 Dublin Mills Rd, Hustontown, PA with Pastor Ben Holler officiating.  Interment will be at Cherry Grove Cemetery, Three Springs, PA.  Friends may call at the church from noon until the time of the service on Saturday.
