Richard Roy Bolinger, 80, Cove Road, Wells Tannery, PA died at 11:25 PM, Friday, January 10, 2020 at Pennknoll Village, Everett, PA.
Born February 6, 1939 at Wells Tannery, he was the son of the late Larkin and Olive (Bivens) Bolinger. He was married to Margaret “Peggy” Riley on March 18, 1961. Mrs. Bolinger survives at home.
Three children survive: Cindy Strait and husband Terry, Everett, PA; Richard “Rick” Bolinger, Jr., and wife Anita, Hopewell, PA; and Troy Bolinger and fiance Rhonda, Wells Tannery, PA.
There are five grandchildren: Bethany and fiance Jordan, Terry and girlfriend Maria, Richard III, Lindsey and Janelle along with a great grandson Jamison.
Two sisters, Patricia Bratton, North Tonawanda, NY and Nancy Bolinger, Stroudsburg, PA and a brother David Bolinger, Waterfall, PA survive. A brother Jack Bolinger is deceased.
Mr. Bolinger was a member of the Dublin Mills Community Church, Hustontown, PA.
He worked as a construction foreman and supervisor for many years. Retiring from Interstate Amesite Co., he had also worked several years earlier with New Enterprise Stone and Lime Co. He was a member of Local 1050, Carpenters Union, Philadelphia, PA.
Mr. Bolinger enjoyed hunting and gardening. He especially loved traveling to Sanibel Island, FL. He enjoyed crabbing, seafood dinners and oyster suppers.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, January 14, 2020 at the Dublin Mills Community Church, 2700 Dublin Mills Road, Hustontown, PA with Pastor Sam Stoey officiating.
Interment will be at the Dublin Mills Community Church Cemetery. Friends may call at the M. R. Brown Funeral Home, 301 Pitt Street, Hustontown, PA from 6--8:00 PM on Monday and at the church one hour before the service on Tuesday.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, P. O. Box 22478, Oklahoma City, OK 73123.
