Melvin G. Hann

Melvin G. Hann, 94, of Buck Road, Harrisonville, PA, died Sunday, January 28, 2024 at Bedford Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Bedford, PA.

Born August 12, 1929 at Harrisonville, he was a son of the late Carl and Julia (Mumma) Hann. He was united in marriage to the former Beulah M. DeShong on July 2,1951. Mrs. Hann preceded in death on January 23, 2020.

He is survived by one daughter, Carol Wright and husband Garry of Waterfall, PA, one granddaughter, Jennifer Knepper and husband Allen and three great grandchildren, Austin, Blair and Charlotte Knepper. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Guy, Lester and Gerald Hann, Sr. and one sister, Thelma Hess.

Mr. Hann was a member of the Fairview United Methodist Church. He retired from PennDot after many years service. His greatest joy was spending time with this family. He was an avid race fan, enjoyed hunting, fishing trips to Canada and going to flea markets.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, January 31, 2024 at the Fairview United Methodist Church, 2246 North Hess Road, Harrisonville, PA with Chaplain Ruth Jourdrey officiating. Interment will be made privately at Asbury Cemetery, Harrisonville, PA. Friends may call at the M. R. Brown Funeral Home, 301 Pitt St., Hustontown, PA 6 - 8 PM on Tuesday and at the church one hour prior to the service on Wednesday.
