Max B. Foster, 82, Zion Church Road, Three Springs, PA died at 9:45 PM, Tuesday, June 25, 2019 at the Fulton County Medical Center, McConnellsburg, PA.
Born April 5, 1937 at Woodvale, PA, he was the son of the late Herman R. and Ethel M. (McQuait) Foster.
He was married to June L. Young on October 9, 1958. She preceded in death on May 2, 2006.
Mr. Foster is survived by two daughters Tena Marie Golden, State Line, PA and Peggy Sue Unger, Fort Loudon, PA.
A son William Max Foster and a grandson in law John L. Stouder are deceased.
There are six grandchildren: Maria Stouder, Daphanie Hartmire, Brittany Mitchell, Nathan Ray Clark, Lindsay Seagroves, and Justin Clark. Also there are seven great grandchildren: Melody, Harmony, Dakotah, Whitten, Kyriana, Kylas Max, and Kyzley.
Mr. Foster is also survived by his “adopted” granddaughter and devoted caregiver Natasha Thomas and her children Makenzy, Cameron and Savannah.
Two brothers survive, Lester Lee Foster, Newport, PA and Thomas Grant Foster, Three Springs, PA. Four brothers, Herman Foster, Arthur Doyle Foster, Richard Lewis Foster, and Donald Ray Foster are deceased.
Mr. Foster was a member of the Independent Holiness Church, Harrisonville, PA.
He worked mostly as a heavy equipment operator on highway projects. He also had been a coal miner and was formerly self employed operating as Foster’s Excavating.
He was a former member of the Operating Engineer’s Union and the IOOF Lodge.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, June 28, 2019 at the M. R. Brown Funeral Home, 301 Pitt Street, Hustontown, PA with Rev. Toby Mellott, Rev. Brian Brenneman, and Rev Donald Robinson officiating. Interment will be at Mount Tabor Cemetery, Waterfall, PA. Friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to the service on Friday.
