Marie A. Henry, 103, of Forbes Trail Road, McConnellsburg, PA, died Thursday, January 2, 2025 at her residence.
Born on July 19, 1921 in Beason Works, Fayette County, PA, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Crawford and Hazel (Hafer) McCormick and step-father Montgomery Ward McCormick. She was united in marriage to Paul A. Henry. Mr. Henry preceded in death on November 9, 1987.
Mrs. Henry is survived by children Paul Dennis Henry and wife Dixie, Hustontown, PA, Michael A. Henry and wife Dana, McConnellsburg, PA and daughter Sharleen M. Zenoble and husband Dallas, Shirleysburg, PA, grandchildren Lisa Knepper and husband Mark, Brian K. Henry and wife Billie, Stacy Green and husband Todd, Michelle Sowers and husband Larry, Michael Henry, Jr. and wife Shanda, April Kies and husband Robert and Romano Zenoble. There are 19 great grandchildren and 18 great great grandchildren.
Siblings Joseph Hafer, Mary Pittman, Martha Chiampi and Margaret Ashlin preceded in death.
She was a member of the Fulton County Medical Center Ladies Auxiliary, North End Garden Club, Singles Club and Fort Littleton Bible Church.
During her lifetime, Mrs. Henry was employed as a registered nurse. She enjoyed gardening, sewing and painting. She loved her family and church family, especially attending her grandchildren’s and great grandchildren’s birthday parties. She loved her cats and rescued many and loved giving hugs to everyone she met.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM, Wednesday, January 8, 2025 at the M. R. Brown Funeral Home, 301 Pitt Street, Hustontown, PA with Pastor Rick Egolf officiating. Private interment will be at Union Cemetery, McConnellsburg, PA. Friends may call at the funeral home from 11:00 AM until the time of the service on Wednesday.
