Luella C. (Lane) Keebaugh

Luella C. Keebaugh, 92, formerly of Shade Gap, PA and Hustontown, PA, died Monday, December 5, 2022 at Heritage Hills Retirement Home, Greencastle, PA.

Born on November 6, 1930, in Aitch, Huntingdon County, PA, she was the daughter of the late William and Verna (Park) Lane.

She is survived by children Ted Keebaugh and wife Linda, Longview, TX, Susan Hanks and husband Dean Strait, McConnellsburg, PA, Sally Keebaugh and husband Howard Guyer, Hustontown, PA and Lynne Bean and husband Bob, Newport News, VA.  There are 12 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren.  Sister Carol Love also survives.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by daughter Candi Byers and siblings Ben, Walter and William Lane, Gretchen Gwaltney, Dora Keebaugh and Lois Bard.

Mrs. Keebaugh was a member of the St. Luke’s United Methodist Church, Shade Gap, PA.

During her lifetime, she was primarily a homemaker.  She especially enjoyed Christmas, spending time outside walking and in her earlier years playing softball, where she was an original member of the Hustontown Rockettes.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, December 10, 2022 at the M.R. Brown Funeral Home, 301 Pitt Street, Hustontown, PA with Pastor Summer Love officiating.  Interment will be at Hustontown Cemetery, Hustontown, PA.  Friends may call at the funeral home from 6 - 8:00 PM on Friday and one hour prior to the service on Saturday.
