Linda D. Cook, 76, of Wooden Bridge Rd., Taylor Township, PA, died Tuesday, June 10, 2025 at her home surrounded by her family.
Born on July 27, 1948 in Chambersburg, PA, she was the daughter of the late Willis and Grace (Shotts) Heefner. She was united in marriage to David Cook on April 20, 1968. Mr. Cook survives at home.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Cook is survived by daughter Tammy Cook, son Tracy Cook, sister Esta Heefner Hoover and husband Chuck and several nieces and nephews.
Brother Ray Shotts also preceded in death.
Many years ago, she helped to organize the Hustontown Volunteer Fire Company and later was a member of the Hustontown Volunteer Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary.
During her lifetime, she worked for many years in the cafeteria at the Forbes Road High School and was also a farmer. She enjoyed taking care of her cows and watching the calves run through the pasture. Her cows were everything to her.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, June 14, 2025 at the M. R. Brown Funeral Home, 301 Pitt Street, Hustontown, PA with Pastor Debbie Strait and Jeff Black officiating. Interment will be at Center Cemetery, Waterfall, PA. Friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to the service on Saturday.
