Kenneth Fraker Obituary

On November 12, 2019, Kenneth Lorraine Fraker took his final ride home to meet his savior at the age of 94.  Kenny was born on July 24, 1925, of the late John Hunter Fraker and the late Mary Mabel (Gobin) Fraker in Fort Littleton, Pennsylvania.

Kenny was a dedicated husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather, whose most treasured times were spent with his family. He was a man who loved the outdoors and working his land. In addition to farming, he worked construction and butchering alongside his brother Cecil.

He attended Walnut Grove Church of God in Maddensville, Pennsylvania, where he met his adored wife Daphne Jean (Wilson) Fraker. Together, they had five children who Kenny, with a smile on his face, would often refer to as his “five little angels.”

If you had the honor to know Kenny, you would have known he was a man who loved his family, a hard worker, and a gifted storyteller. A few other things he enjoyed were: music, puzzles and westerns--especially John Wayne.  This was fitting because Kenny, like the Duke, was larger than life. He treated broken bones as if they were scratches and devastating losses as though they were setbacks. As a true example of the Greatest Generation, he built his legacy from scratch, one hard-working day at a time with faith in His God and endless dedication to his family.  Although he left shoes too big to fill, his children, grandchildren and all who loved him are grateful that he showed us how to follow in his footsteps.

Kenneth is survived by his wife Daphne (Wilson) Fraker, his children; Dennis Fraker and wife Linda of Fort Littleton, Pennsylvania, Brian Fraker and wife Tammy of Fort Littleton, John Fraker and wife Teresa of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, Waneta Fraker of Hagerstown, Maryland and Kent Fraker of McConnellsburg, Pennsylvania.  In addition to his wife and children, he is survived by five grandchildren, April (Fraker) Coudriet and husband Ryan, Logan Fraker and wife Ashley, Hunter Fraker, Kylynne (Fraker) Dixon and husband Rick, Jordan Fraker, and three great-grandchildren: Analynn Fraker, Leighton Fraker, and Chase Dixon. He is also survived by a brother, Zane Fraker, and wife Gale of Needmore, Pennsylvania, as well as several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John Hunter Fraker and Mary Mabel (Gobin) Fraker, three brothers, Eugene Fraker, Dale Fraker, Cecil Fraker, four sisters, Lois (Fraker) Stevens, Dorthy (Fraker) Henry, Waneta Fraker, Leona Fraker, and an infant.

Kenny was an authentic man whose legacy will always live on and can be witnessed everywhere on his Fort Littleton farm.
