Jon E. Harding

Jon Eric Harding, 73, Fort Littleton Road, Orbisonia, PA passed away peacefully Wednesday, November 18, 2020 at UPMC Pinnacle, Harrisburg, PA.

Born January 7, 1947 at Huntingdon, PA, he was the eldest son of the late John J. and Mildred (Buseck) Harding.  He was married to Cathy Stains who survives at home.  

Mr. Harding is survived by a stepdaughter Rita Sipes and husband Gerald, Harrisonville, PA. 

There are two brothers, Raymond C. Harding and wife Sandra, and Roy H. Harding all of Six Mile Run, PA.  A brother Robbie Harding is deceased.

Also surviving are two nephews, Gerald Markle and wife Lisa, Roaring Spring, PA and Daniel Harding and companion Kim Frye, Saxton, PA  along with a great nephew Jared Markle.

In his early years, he attended the Round Knob Church of God.

Mr. Harding was a 1965 graduate of Tussey Mountain High School.

During his lifetime he was a  heavy equipment operator for many years, then spent 18 years at JLG Industries, McConnellsburg, PA retiring in 2013.

He enjoyed fishing and was an avid collector of many items.

He will be missed by his family and many friends.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM, Sunday, November 22, 2020 at the Walnut Grove Church of God, 9002 Walnut Grove Church Road, Three Springs, PA with Rev. John Hodge officiating.  Interment will be at Walnut Grove Cemetery.  Friends may call at the church one hour prior to the service on Sunday.

In lieu of flowers. memorial contributions may be  made to the Walnut Grove Cemetery Fund, 23467 Fort Littleton Road, Orbisonia, PA  17243.
