John H. Mills

John H. Mills, 83, of Three Springs, PA, died Monday, June 17, 2024 at UPMC Community Osteopathic, Harrisburg, PA.

Born on November 27, 1940 in Shade Gap, PA, he was the son of the late Otis, Sr. and Hazel (Brown) Mills.  He was united in marriage to Deloris “Dorie” Cromwell on April 26, 1969.  Mrs. Mills survives at home.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by granddaughters Nicole Whitsel and husband Bryan and Ashlynn Litwa and husband Kevin, great grandchildren Toryn Shotts and Jordan Shotts and brothers Jim Mills and Otis “Buck” Mills, Jr.

Mr. Mills was preceded in death by daughter Pamela Cornelius and siblings Mary Ann Mort, Emma Stains and Orlena Mills.

He was a lifelong farmer who loved gardening, fishing and hunting, especially coon and fox hunting.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, June 21, 2024 at the M. R. Brown Funeral Home, 301 Pitt Street, Hustontown, PA with Pastor Alann Schmidt officiating.  Interment will be at Booth Cemetery, Three Springs, PA.  Friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to the service on Friday.
