Jody R. (Stains) Shimer

Jody R. Shimer, 68, of McConnellsburg, PA, died Wednesday, September 28, 2022 at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center, Johnstown, PA.

Born on August 13, 1954 in Huntingdon, PA, she was the daughter of the late Howard and Althea (Ramsey) Stains.  She was united in marriage to the late Mahlon L. Shimer who preceded in death on September 14, 2018.

She is survived by children Seleen Shives and husband Tony, Cara Truax and husband Scott and Levi Shimer, five grandchildren and sisters Charlotte Hodge, Linda Myers and Cathy Harding.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by brother Larry Stains.

She was a graduate of the Southern Huntingdon County High School.

Mrs. Shimer was a member of the Dublin Mills Community Church, Hustontown, PA.

During her lifetime, she enjoyed spending time with her sisters and grandchildren and gardening in her flower beds.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, October 3, 2022 at the Dublin Mills Community Church, 2700 Dublin Mills Rd., Hustontown, PA with Pastor Ben Holler officiating.  Friends may call at the church one hour prior to the service on Monday.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Dublin Mills Community Church, 2700 Dublin Mills Rd., Hustontown, PA.
