Jessie R. (Hasting) Rourke

Jessie Romaine Rourke, 72, of Cromwell Church Road, Hustontown, PA died Thursday, August 27, 2020 at her home. 

Born January 5, 1948 in Chambersburg, PA, she was the daughter of the late Harry W. and Nancy (Swartz) Hasting.  She was married to John Eugene Rourke, Sr. Mr. Rourke preceded in death on April 22, 2020.

Mrs. Rourke is survived by a son, John E. Rourke, Jr. and wife Linda, Stephens City, VA.

There are four grandsons: John William Rourke, Ryan Eugene Rourke, Austin Lee Rourke, and Joseph Robert Epstein. In addition, there are six great grandchildren: Athena Mae Rourke, Georgia Epstein, Mariah Epstein, Nyamelee Epstein, Joseph Epstein and Bryson McCartney.

Three sisters, Susan Jane Kitzmiller, Jean Runk, and Janet Allemen, and two brothers, Harry W. Hasting II and Joseph Hasting survive.  One sister, Mary Flory preceded in death.

She was a member of Center Grove Brethren in Christ Church, Three Springs, PA.

Mrs. Rourke retired from Hoffman Mills, Shippensburg, PA.

During her lifetime, she enjoyed fishing.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
