Hilda G. Mellott

Hilda G. Mellott, 92, of Waterfall Road, Three Springs, PA, died Friday, May 31, 2024 at Embassy of Woodland Park, Orbisonia, PA.

Born September 13, 1931 in Wells Twp., Fulton Co., PA, she was a daughter of the late DeKalb and Evaline (Anderson) Metzler. She was united in marriage to Peter Mellott who preceded in death in 1989.

She is survived by three children, Trudy Mellott of Havre de Grace, MD, Terry Mellott of Waterfall, PA and Tim Mellott and wife Janet of Three Springs, PA. She is also survived by six grandchildren, Haessly Nachman, Archer Atkins, Dahl-ie Schneck, Roxanna Mellott, Jason Mellott and Kaleb Mellott and nine great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one sister, Patricia Souders and her twin brother, Wilda Metzler.

Mrs. Mellott was a member of the Zion United Methodist Church, Waterfall, PA, where she served as the pianist and organist for many years. She was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and the Wells Valley Grange.

During her life she was employed by the Stanley Company, Inc., Chambersburg, PA and Greif Brothers Manufacturing, Inc., Mt. Union, PA.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, June 6, 2024 at the Wells Valley United Methodist Church, 1522 Wells Valley Road, Wells Tannery, PA with Pastor Michael Purnell officiating. Interment will be made at Wells Valley Methodist Cemetery, adjacent to the church. Friends may call at the M. R. Brown Funeral Home, 301 Pitt St., Hustontown, PA 6 - 8 PM on Wednesday and at the church one hour prior to the service on Thursday.
