Harold Rand Pas

Harold Rand Pas, 90, of Waterfall, PA, passed away Monday, April 21, 2025 at the Village at Morrison’s Cove, Martinsburg, PA.

Born on August 17, 1934 in Orange City, Iowa, he was the son of the late Harold H. and Nelvy (Van Es) Pas.  He was united in marriage to Dorothy M. (Knepper) Newman.  Mrs. Pas survives at home.

Mr. Pas is survived by Karen E. Varney and husband Rodney III, Harrisonville, PA, daughter-in-law Winifred Pas, Albrightsville, PA, grandchildren Steven Varney, Dylan Varney, Rodney Varney III, Tina Pas, Jacob Pas, Jamie Pas, numerous great-grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Also surviving are step-children Thomas Newman and wife Maxine, G. Richard Newman and wife Bonnie and M. Jane Arnold and husband Merrill, all of Waterfall, PA.

Son Christopher R. Pas, granddaughter Jessica Pas and sister Nancy L. Middleton preceded in death.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Air National Guard from 1958 - 1964, serving in Virginia and Maryland.

Mr. Pas was a member of Center United Methodist Church, Waterfall, PA.

During his lifetime, he worked at the Southeastern Pennsylvania Transit Authority, Peat, Marwick and Mitchell & Co., Verizon and in the financial industry as an accountant.
