Galen L. Plasterer, 80, of Fort Littleton, PA, died Saturday, May 21, 2022 at his home.
Born August 22, 1941 at Plainfield, PA, he was a son of the late Lee and Lula (Naugle) Plasterer. He was united in marriage to the former Linda Madden in 1992. Mrs. Plasterer survives at their home.
He is also survived by four children, Eric Plasterer and wife Michelle of Newville, PA, Angela Effland and husband Ronald of Shippensburg, PA, Kenneth Cornelius of Maddensville, PA and Tammy Fraker and husband Brian of Fort Littleton, nine grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and four siblings, Irm Greenawalt, Fred Plasterer, Ronald Plasterer and Dessie Kough. Two sisters preceded in death and one sister died in infancy.
Mr. Plasterer was a member of The Open Door Church, Chambersburg, PA where he served as a deacon and taught wood shop at the Cumberland Valley Christian School.
During his life he was mainly employed as a printer pressman.
Mr. Plasterer was a veteran of the U. S. Navy.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, May 25, 2022 at The Open Door Church, 600 Miller St., Chambersburg, PA. Interment will be made at Fort Littleton Cemetery. Friends may call at the church one hour prior to the service on Wednesday.
