Ferne Mellott

Ferne Mellott, 86, of South Madden Road, Hustontown, PA, died Saturday, October 19, 2024 at Chambersburg Hospital.

Born July 24, 1938 at Clear Ridge, PA, she was a daughter of the late Mervin and Evelyn (Brant) Mort. She was united in marriage to James B. Mellott who preceded in death in 1979.

She is survived by one daughter, Nina Mellott of McConnellsburg, PA and one grandson, Fred Mellott, II. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Tanya, who died in infancy, her son in law, Fred Mellott, one sister, Norma Mort and two brothers, Larry Mort and Wayne Mort.

Mrs. Mellott was a member of the Clear Ridge United Methodist Church, Hustontown, PA.

During her life she was a homemaker.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, October 25, 2024 at Clear Ridge Cemetery, Hustontown, PA with Pastor Rebecca Cutchall officiating.
