Erma M. (Peck) Henry

Erma M. Henry, 73, Hustontown, passed peacefully Tuesday, December 24, 2019 at home with her family by her side following an 11-year battle with cancer. 

Born February 9, 1946, in Ayr township, Fulton County, she was a daughter of the late Sammie and Gladys (Shoemaker) Peck. 

She was a 1964 graduate of Southern Fulton High School. 

Erma was preceded in death by a sister, Jessie Mellott. She is survived by sisters; Doris Strait, Nancy Eichelberger, and Carol Watters, and brothers; Sammie Peck Jr., Floyd Peck, and Gary Lee Peck. 

Erma is survived at home by husband of 49 years, Gregory M. Henry. She is also survived by 3 children; Lonnie (husband of Christie) Henry, Hustontown, Michael (husband of Wendy) Henry, Hustontown, and Jamie (wife of Joe) Strait, Needmore. 

Erma was a devoted and loving grandmother who will be sadly missed by her 8 grandchildren; Cortnee Fix (wife of Tai), Jared Henry (companion of Erin), Samantha Henry, Zachary Henry, Owen Henry, Olivia Henry, Brittany Strait, and William Strait, and her great grandchildren; Emma, Aspen, and Shay Fix, and Harper Henry. 

She was a well-known member of the community from her years of employment at Sagner Inc., McConnellsburg (7 years), Sears and Roebuck, McConnellsburg (14 years), Overly Raker, McConnellsburg, Fraker's Store, Fort Littleton, and Fulton County National Bank, Hustontown (17 years) from which she retired. 

Erma was an active member of the Clear Ridge United Methodist Church, and she enjoyed attending the classes at Silver Sneakers. She also enjoyed; reading, flower gardening, decorating, cooking, baking, and hosting family gatherings. 

Erma was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend to many, and she will never be forgotten. 

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, January 12, 2020 at the Hustontown Fire Hall, 426 N Clear Ridge Rd, Hustontown, PA 17229. Memorial donations may be made to the Clear Ridge United Methodist Church, 599 Plum Hollow Road, Hustontown, PA  17229 or Center United Methodist Church, P. O. Box 93, Waterfall, PA 16689, or the American Cancer Society, P. O. Box 42040, Oklahoma City, OK 73123.
