Elva K. (Knepper) Lane

Elva K. Lane, 90, a resident of Green Ridge Village, Newville, PA and formerly of Waterfall Road, Hustontown, PA died early Wednesday, February 12, 2020 at Green Ridge Village.

A lifelong resident of Taylor Township, Fulton County, PA, she was born there on August 5, 1929. She was the daughter of the late John S. and Ruth Ann (Strait) Knepper.  She was married to William Grover Lane, Jr. on May 9, 1950. Mr. Lane preceded in death on October 29, 2014.

Mrs. Lane is survived by a son Bryan Lane and wife Debra, Carlisle, PA  and a daughter Ruth Zimmers, Seattle, WA.

There are four grandchildren: Heather Mathis, Matt Lane, Elizabeth Dunlap, and Rebecca Campos.  Also there are seven great grandchildren: Ryan Mathis, Juliette Mathis, Landon Lane, Logan Dunlap, Mateo Campos, Elora Campos and Vera Campos.

Three brothers R. Brinton Knepper, Harry B. Knepper and Ralph Herbert Knepper are deceased.

She was a member of the Fairview United Methodist Church, Harrisonville, PA.

Always a dedicated homemaker, Mrs. Lane worked a short time at Wells-Taylor Elementary School, Waterfall, PA and at Sagner Inc., McConnellsburg, PA.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, February 15, 2020 at the M. R. Brown Funeral Home, 301 Pitt Street, Hustontown, PA with Pastor DeAnn Newhouse officiating.  Interment will be at Center Cemetery, Waterfall, PA. Friends may call at the funeral home from noon until the hour of service on Saturday.
