Dwight Matthew Fischer, 59, Waterfall, PA died at 3:15 AM, Wednesday, September 25, 2019 at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center, Johnstown, PA due to injuries sustained in a construction accident in Somerset County, PA.
Born May 23, 1960 at McConnellsburg, PA, he was the son of the late Donald E. Fischer and Eleanor (Duvall) Fischer who survives of Crystal Spring, PA. He was married to Tammy Gilbert on January 10, 1981. Mrs. Fischer survives at their home.
He is also survived by a son, Matthew Fischer and wife Renee, of Dudley, PA and daughter, Talisha Seville and husband Paul of Waterfall, PA.
There are eight grandchildren: Travis Russell, Alexis Seville, Delaney Fischer, Olivia Seville, Rhiannon Fischer, Andrew Seville, Lilly and Lydia. There is one great-grandchild, Noah Russell.
Mr. Fischer is survived by five brothers and one sister: Donald Fischer II, Danny Fischer, and Dave Fischer of Crystal Spring, PA, Duane Fischer of New York, Dean Fischer of Pennsylvania, and Nora Collins of Crystal Spring, PA.
He was a 1979 graduate of Southern Fulton High School.
During his lifetime he worked in highway construction and was an equipment operator for the past 5 years with New Enterprise Stone and Lime Company, New Enterprise, PA.
Mr. Fischer was a social member of the Broad Top American Legion. An avid hunter, Mr. Fischer enjoyed his family, grandchildren and especially enjoyed helping others.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, September 30, 2019 at the M.R. Brown Funeral Home, 301 Pitt Street, Hustontown, PA, with Pastor Dean Thomas officiating. Interment will be at Center Cemetery, RD, Waterfall, PA. Friends may call at the funeral home from 2 - 4 PM on Sunday and one hour prior to the service on Monday.
