Claude Bookheimer Obituary

Claude L. “Red” Bookheimer, 74, of Hustontown, PA, died Friday, August 25, 2023 at Chambersburg Hospital.

Born September 6, 1948 in Dublin Twp., Fulton Co., PA, he was a son of the late George and Bertha (Chilcote) Bookheimer. He was united in marriage to the former Mona Seiders who survives at their home.

He is also survived by three children, Rick Bookheimer of Michigan, Tina Dodson of Hopewell, PA and Troy Bookheimer of Hustontown, PA, ten grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, five siblings, Florence Bookheimer of Virginia, Darlene Ankrom of Virginia, Linda Mellott of Needmore, PA, Marvin Bookheimer and Donald Bookheimer, both of McConnellsburg, PA and a number of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Lisa K. Bookheimer, one sister, Jo Ann De Cruz and two brothers, Charles “Bud” Bookheimer and Bruce Bookheimer.

Mr. Bookheimer was an avid hunter and also enjoyed NASCAR races.

He retired from Grove, Inc., now Manitowok, Shady Grove, PA, after over 30 years service.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family with a Celebration of Life service to be announced at a later date.
