Charles Martin “Chuck” Knepper, 80, of Waterfall, PA, passed away Sunday, February 9, 2025 at his home.
Born on July 13, 1944 in Waterfall, PA, he was the son of the late David P. and Mary E. (Grissinger) Knepper. He was the husband of Penny J. Snyder for 59 years, with whom he married on July 3, 1965.
Chuck owned and operated, along with wife Penny, Knepper’s Mill in Waterfall for 42 years, although he started his career there at age 14. He worked hard and enjoyed it all. Many days he put in 16 hours running the mill, traveling to farms in the evening with his portable grinder and hauling feed.
He was a member of Center United Methodist Church. He was a longtime member of the Forbes Road Lions Club. He enjoyed reading western books, riding in his golf cart, going to Silver Sneakers Wellness Center and get-togethers with his family.
He is survived by daughter Jody Skinner and husband Carl, Waterfall, PA and son Adam Knepper, McConnellsburg, PA, grandchildren Haley Sipes and husband Adam, McConnellsburg, PA, Jasmine Hann and husband Justin, Hustontown, PA, Brady Skinner, Waterfall, PA, Carly Skinner, Waterfall, PA, and Levi Knepper, Hustontown, PA and great-grandchildren Sawyer, Bentley, Aria, Jensen and Hayden.
Sisters Violet Culler, McConnellsburg, PA, Dorothy Spade and husband Coy, Needmore, PA, Janie Black and husband John, McConnellsburg, PA and Sharon Snyder and husband Joe, McConnellsburg, PA and brother David “Pete” Knepper and wife Gayle, Chambersburg, PA and several nieces and nephews also survive.
Chuck was preceded in death by sisters Edith Foreman and husband Ronnie and Shirley Parsons and husband Bill and brother-in-law Fred Culler.
A visitation will be held from 6 - 8:00 PM, Thursday, February 13, 2025 at the M. R. Brown Funeral Home, 301 Pitt St., Hustontown, PA. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM, Friday, February 14, 2025 at Center United Methodist Church, 3195 Doran Rd., Three Springs, PA with Pastor Becky Cutchall officiating. Interment will be at Center Cemetery, adjacent to the church. Friends may also call at the church one hour prior to the service on Friday.
